I am currently in the process of having a house built, and every time we visit to see the progress, I scavenge for scraps that I could use in my art. I found this mesh stuff and thought it would be cool to use as some texture on a canvas. It put up a little bit of a fight, but I think it ended up really neat!
I used DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics and Mediums for this piece, and accented with different pieces of ephemera.
Also, I am thinking of changing from "10-minute Tuesday" to "Totally Textured Tuesday". I may revisit the time limit again soon, but lately I've been too distracted and crazy to sit for even 10 minutes. I get up while the paint is drying, do something else, and come back.
That's life with kiddos, though!
